most doctors are narcissistic assholes anyway, many dont even know what theyre doing and actually cause more harm to patients. they dont believe in any holisitic approach to ailments. i wanted to be a doctor too, but i realized that it wasnt for me.

Try podiatry. Can still practice medicine in a specialty and is not as cutthroat.

i was lucky to have graduated high school with awful grades in every subject except science, where i got the highest grades in class. so what else could i do in life with this stuff happening? medical science and this gave me the motivation to also do well in non science courses that were mandatory. better sooner than later to realize it is not your cup of tea.

To me, you just chicken out. Just tell the truth. You want easy and quick money instead of working really hard for it, which has nothing to do with why others want to be doctors.

I feel like you have to like every ounce of it to really enjoy it. I run my own business and I love bookkeeping, HR, legal compliance issues, interacting with staff, managing staff, it’s pretty fun. I feel like med should be the same way

I took off a week and half to dive deep into holes of the Amazon market. I’ve spent about 90 hour this week alone doing product research. There are so many gaps, with crap products. I went through and read competitions reviews, reached out to suppliers and created better “fixed products” which is the whole schtick. If it was so easy, everyone would do it.

My mom’s doctor retired in the early 2000’s , she was 50 years old and said she was getting out because the field was changing to where health insurance companies dictated how doctors practiced medicine and she wasn’t going to be controlled by them. Boy was she right.

100% true. Everything you said is exactly what I felt when in practice. It's possible that I went down the wrong paths by choosing fields that were a bit too 'conceptual'. If you are a med student, think carefully over the route/ path you take in medicine. I strongly suggest incorporating minor procedures into your workflow, as opposed to choosing a purely allopathic field.

Man, i just want a decent coupe.

I have similar taste, mostly vintage (40s, 50s, 60s, Grand Seiko, Rolex Royal Precision, IWC Calatrava, British Timex Marlin etc.) with a smattering of modern (Nivada Grenchen Super Antarctic, Tissot Heritage chronograph, Citizen Promaster Diver-used by the way Navy+10 years, etc.), so even the modern watches are throwbacks to yesteryear. My sweet spot is 33 - 38 mm.
